The Learners of Wolsey Park

The Wolsey Park School will be a specialist school, providing the very best care and support for children and young people with severe (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).  

This provision will meet the needs of learners who require an informal or pre-formal, personalised curriculum: a curriculum that will support personal progress in communication, health and wellbeing, play and learning. 

All of our learners will have complex learning difficulties. Most of our learners will have significant sensory needs or sensory processing differences. Many of our learners will have limited means of communication. Some of our learners will have complex health needs or physical impairments requiring high levels of personal care. 

Our classrooms will be full of young people who may have significant challenges yet are recognised for their strengths, and are supported to make great progress to achieve personal excellence.
